Hi
I searched the forums and could not find any info about this so here goes.
I fitted an after market body kit to the Caravelle (Vanagon) "Big Bumper Model) (The body kit replicates an LLE or a Carat) the body panels that sit on the sliding door side comprise:-
1. Short Panel under passenger door
2. Longer Panel on sliding door
3. Short Panel fixed to rear body panel in front of rear wheel.
When I open the sliding door the bottom corner of the door catches the lip of the Panel 3 (The edge facing the front of the vehicle), so the only way I can clear the problem is to move the Panel 3 further away from the door and back towards the bumper, it just does not look right.
The gap between the sliding door panel 2 and the rear panel 3 with the door shut is nearly 50mm whereas I believe it should be nearer 15mm.
Can I adjust the door so that when it immediately opens it comes out further thereby widening the distance between Panel 3 and the bottom of the door so that it does not catch.
Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Thanks
