have taken the fuel tank off to get at the rust in the dimple, taking advantage of the tank being off one of the metal brake pipes is really badly corroded, definite MOT fail if it could be seen !
The two pipes to the rear brakes seem to different nearside rear seems to be a thicker pipe and more rigid, is this normal or is it the original and the offside rear has been replaced.
To get the pipe made up at a factors does anyone know what bore pipe I need and what are the size of the fittings servo end and flexi hose end ? Living in the Scottish Islands means it isn't so easy to ge things like brake pipe etc.
Cheers

brake pipe
Just done the same job myself, the original pipe was thick walled steel, but I replaced it with 3/16" kunifer, the pipe end fittings are the standard type fittings...in my case mm male ones. The rear ones on my van are new 3/16" kunifers as well.
The only difficulty that I had was getting the new, long pipe in place, but if you take your time and make sure nothing is going to foul it - gear change shaft, sharp edges etc - once in situ, you'll be OK.

Thanks for the advice, I looked at the WIKI just after I posted, will try the Brickwerks, I did the pipes on a Polo Coupe and they seemed to be the first thing put on the shell after painting. So were well difficult to get in place.
