Windscreen fitting

Post by meggles »

I need a screen fitting. I have a decent used seal and will be removing "donor" screen from the scrapper I have just bought. Is there anyone in York area wants to, and can succesfully, fit it for me?
I am not after a freebie, I will pay a decent price. I just need to remove my cracked screen (no probs) then repair a small corrosion issue, and then wait for some kind, competent person to fit my new/second hand one. I'll need it doing in about 3 to 4 weeks time. Any offers?
pm me with price and when it's convenient for you.
Thanks.

tip:
cut the outer off the seal on the good one you are taking out , if you have a spare seal, minimises the chance of cracking the good screen......

Yeah, gonna cut old screen out. Yeah, I know its easy. Yeah, I'm a coward! I broke the last one I had and don't wanna break another. Just thought if someone's good at it and wants a few beer tokens! Thanks for advice anyway.

Joshb: Lunch on me, get fitting!
