breather problem head gasket?

hi all
im hoping that you can help?
the crank case tower breather on my dg 1.9 keeps blocking up with milky oil i have cleaned it out about a month ago and now its blocked yet again.
there is no sign of the milky oil on the dipstick but there is a very small amount on the inside of the oil filler cap.
is this just from lots of short journeys? or is it a head gasket? how can i tell?
the engine is only 11 months old from remtec.

Short trips are mostly to blame.. change the oil and take it out for an hours drive...

Wont be a head gasket as this will blow all your coolant out... barrel base seal possibly, but unlikely..

any other crack, poor assembly.... possibly, but you would see it on the dipstick and other symptoms too (like water useage..)

its mostly lack of use, condensation, because of the design of the engine, the tower is the highest point, and the hot air cools and turns to moisture, and emusifyes the oil residue there.......we all get it... as simon says, go on a longer run.....

the filler cap is the second highest

thanks for the replies guys

it just it seems excessive as it blocks the hole breather up and tube to the carb, it also blocks even with a tube vented to air under the van.
and when it blocks i get oil leaks from the dipstick or the oil filler were the plastic tube joins the metal tube.
i have lost a bit of water from the expansion tank but im not a 100% sure if this is because the guy that fitted the new thermostat housing bleed the system properly?

have i made thing worse by removing the spring and gubins from the breather and then venting it to air?

any ideas on how to stop this from happening? as its my wifes only transport and has to do up to 6 trips under 2 miles a day.

mr volks decided it needed that spring, and to vented to the air intake, id be putting it back, just my opinion mind

i know what your saying steve as this is how i see most things "leave as is".
i just thought with the spring and gubins out the way the crankcase pressure would push the milky oil out better?
and it did block with it all standard but just harder to clean out.
im sure i did not have this problem with my old engine?

I find that castrol is terrible for condensation. It does seem excessive though.
Is the oil on your dipstick OK.

6 trips of 2 miles is the killer... no way does it get up to temp and the condensation forming never dets driven out...

Isnt it possible to walk more often??

its not far and you wont be filling the engine with damp, saving money as the fuel consumption must be mental and a contribution to the environment.. not to mention personal fitness..

do you think it would have the power to tow my t25 with my missus and kids in it? as thats the only way id get her to use it
