The exact same thing happened on our van. Take the steering wheel cowling cover off, pull washer stalk back and look to see which two contacts touch. Clean these contacts, you might have to bend them a bit too to ensure a good contact. On our van it looked as though the contacts were touching but when the contacts were bridged - voila!

a quick spray with electrical contact cleaner will usualy cure the fault and you can do it wthout striping any thing down

As the guy above said, same problem, removed the column shroud and it was the contacts where i pull the lever...i wish i had asked this question before i bought a new pump (diff conection to a T3!) and pulled off the water pipe...its perished, im gonna try and join it up somehow, a nice new flexable bit and a one of those fish tank bits..

its seems a pain in the backside to hook it up from the unit reet to the top.

did some work on the inside...got a mate to lend a hand, took out the cuboard unit i popped in the t'ver week, and the origonal one back in but a bit further accross, so i hope enough room for the fridge at tech weekend...

As i was disgussing (never spell that word!) with Mr onion when he popped round, i might cut the rocky roll bed down, as its a full width....
