plug

O K that was vague
In the engine bay ...top left ...attached to the bulkhead ...there's a box..inside are various connectors...one of which is tubular with several wires using it...now these wires are for the rear lights except reverse and fog I think.

I want a connector that plugs in here for tow electrcs

so I don't have to scotch loc everything......er......is that any better?

All the towbar electrics I've seen have been spliced in (many badly done, too).

Try and rise above using Scotchlocks and actually properly splice in new wires, solder and heatshrink the joins, eh?

How do Kev, i fitted my own electrics in a couple of hours (and that was with trying to follow the crappy Haynes manual wiring diagram) so i'm sure we could do it in less than that with my van to work off.

Give us a shout if you want a hand.

I am entirely in agreement here DH I hate jock joins, the soldered joint is my choice , however the plug that does is such an obvious way ,I'm suprised it hasn't been done.

yes shep, I could do with a hand, How about this Saturday? any time......all beers on me....er and you can have your van porn book back!

I've never seen a plug, all have been either scotch locked into place in the junction box or some such abortion behind the back lights.
Solder in the junction box is the way forward.
