anybody got any ideas why when i turn volume up quite high it cuts out ? its a blaupunkt laguna CD36

speakers knackered ..lack of voltage ?

has it just started doing it ?

i thought it was speakers but had new ones still does it !

Check the ohmage rating of the speakers isn't too low for the unit as this will be detected as a near short and it will cut out. Otherwise make sure the cables supplying power to the unit are of suitable diameter and can carry the load at higher volumes and that the cables from the unit to the speakers are not damaged.
Also, supply an earth to the case or neutral connector. Stereos will work from just having an earth supply from the aerial or phono connectors from an external amp but this isn't enough when draining higher amounts of power.
