Core Plug size

Hi - wonder if anyone can help - i have a t25 1.9dg auto petrol watercooled - found out i had a core plug (lower right hand side of engine as you look at it in engine bay) - It popped while travelling home - need to know the size so i can replace it - would normally get under the van and measure but done my neck in so cannot get under her - anyone know the measurements - so far been told its 19.2mm or 24mm - i cannot find it it haynes or bentley (so far) any help appreciated - ps tried vw dealers no joy as they cannot get it from manufacturer so anyone know where i can get them - tks and regards - john

24mm. Insert it with a 17mm socket and loctite.
