2.1 dj Injector wiring colours

Post by boxxie »

Could anyone identify the coloured cables leading to the fuel injectors on a 2.1 dj engine - each of the four connectors has uniquely colour cables leading to it (blue/black red/black green/black etc).

I've just replaced my digifant ecu and associated wiring loom, but I didn't label these connectors clearly enough :(

didn't think DJ's were digifant? mines digijet {non cat} all inj. wires on mine are white, but if you pull back the rubber boot, there are identifying numbers on the wire insul. which relate to where they should go according to genuine manual diagram, two of mine were on the wrong inj. according to the above, but swapping around made no detectable difference, which ties in with what you say, Beaker, they all squirt at same time.

Thanks for all the replies :D

Well my van is running now, so if they all squirt at the same time I guess it should be OK then.

:oops wasserleaker for not responding on my original thread yet

no bother mate, did you end up with a recon or new ECU, or was it down to grubby connector pins or bad earths in the end? from what iv'e read on here before, the ECU is usually v reliable and duff earths or grubby connectors tend to be the cause of most trouble

No! I've replaced the ecu, wiring loom, hall effect sensor, coil, ignition module, air flow meter and cleaned up what connections I can.
I guess I'm going to look at ripping the ecu out and getting a carburettor.

just an idea, but did you replace ign. leads for a new set? had intermittent probs in the past caused by leads acting up when the engine gets hot (not a T25 tho) stick with it mate, it'll probably be something simple.
