gear change problems

Post by meggles »

What van? Mine's a 2.0 A/C and I had similar problem.. Turned out to be linkage at gearbox end. Nylon bushes had flats on them. tightend up squareish bracket which they sit in and a good greasing did the trick. Did a more complicated repair before that but the above is worth a try first!
Good Luck

sounds like play/over extension of the rear onion....
i had some thing like that, but mine turned out to be one of the bushes on the front.... twas missing! i found that by looking at the linkage at the front and looking at the play onto the shaft... good luck..

I've a Type 2 Bay (still looking for a Syncro) and know your van could be different, but I had similar problems that turned out to be a stretched clutch cable and a £5 fix! :D
