Wow what an amazing new noise - from the speedo!!!
Hi guys,
My van has developed an amazing new deafening rattling noise, but for the first time in the history of such noises it doesn't sound expensive... (phew) just annoying.
Coming from the dashboard! Speedo has always made a slight ticking noise, now a LOUD clacking.
Any ideas/recommendations/easy fixes?

Make sure cable is well pushed in or screwed on (depending on type) and its going into the back of the speedo at 90 degrees with no kinks or bends.
The later push on type seem to get this problem as they have a nylon centre running through the cable and over time is not as flexible as it used to be.

Push on on mine
Had a wee fiddle and a poke - if i push it on hard makes a worse noise sprayed both bits with a bit of WD40 and pushed together so the screeching seemed to stop - at least i now know how to fix if it happens again - do like noises like this that DON'T = money/tools/time/hassle!
Thanks all!
Steve
