I have found gear selection to first has changed, the gear is now close to reverse making me lift the gearstick slightly to get it in.The rest of the gears are fine.[/b]

dont panic!
it sounds like a just a linkage issue to me....missing gears or jumping gears might be gearbox, moved or hard to select more than likely linkages

there is set up info in the haynes book o lies, itsnot rocket science , but if you are canny, you will mark everything before you move anything, and dontmove anything that couldnt have slipped or moved only by a loose or forced movement.

My moved first gear!

Post by robnissy »

Thanks for the quick replies, got the van 18 months ago out of a mates garden for free! I have blundered along, but this one kind of threw me. I will refer to my Haynes, and assume the lying position on the drive. Rob
