MOT

Post by jaylo264 »

Hi, does anyone know , is the condition of the sills on a t25 important for the mot ? i.e. they are rust coloured , but can`t yet see any holes in them. Underside is generally solid . :? Jaylo

I was informed mine was a good example, and I accidently jacked the back up without inserting the jack fully and cracked some of the rust off from around the sills.

The rust colour will attract the attention of the MOT tester who will then start prodding around with a screwdriver. If the tester finds any excessive corrosion within a ''proscribed are'' ie. 30cm of any suspension component/seat belt mounting then the vehicle will fail the test. :(
