Post by Aezmac »

Hi, can anyone point me in the direction of decent panel suppliers? Any difference between Schofield's, JK's etc, quality, price, availability :?: Cheers.

Some of the panels supplied by Schofields come from the same place as the JK ones. I sent a front wheel arch skin back to JK because it was terrible quality. Ordered another form Schofields and that one was identical. Buy original if you possibly can. Much easier to fit a panel thats the right size and shape.

Thanks to all for the info, Schofield's it is then, (don't really want a van sponsored by heinz  ). Are genuine panels still available, if so from whom and how do they compare price wise ?
Cheers.

Try a VW parts dept (but they call it a Type 2 van) and tell them what year your van is and they'll look on the ETKA thingy. Might also be worth having a look on vagcat:

You need to register to use vagcat, but it doesn't cost you anything.
