He is stating is has front & rear diff-locks but no knobs in pictures.
This is one of the question/answers................
well hi - but i AM REALLY CONFUSED HERE There wasnt a 2100cc 70 bhp built - I presume you mean approx 90 bhp `M` series engine . Please confirm Secondly there are no difflock displays - appreciate this is supposed to be a 14 inch syncro but why are there no difflock displays???? Are you sure?? Cos I`m not! 12-Feb-08
A: 1. You are right, engine power is 70 kw, approximately 105 hp. I don`t know if engine type is called "M" 2. Not all Syncros come with seperate difflocks for front and rear axles, only Steyer Puch do have them.as far as I know. 3. wheel size 14"
True?

what a load of rubbish
If you waited long enough (and paid for it, obviously) you could have any "conversion" you wanted. So somebody ordered a Multivan with pop-up roof and the odd bit of Westfalia furniture fitted ...big deal.
Difflocks always were an option on the Syncro, you had to order them to get them ..this yoke hasn't got any.
(US Syncros never got a front difflock for liability reasons ...VW was afraid that some tool would engage them on the road, drive straight into a tree and sue them)
This is a unique factory conversion, only one example made by Volkswagen. A Multivan Syncro with original Westfalia popup roof

For some resion UK spec Syncro's seem to have both difflocks fitted as standard so its easy to asume thats the norm. In reality we are just lucky. Mine was crap when neather worked though so I'd view no rear locker as a big minus.
I was amused when I read about it being "the only one built", but ofcourse everything on ebay is uneque and outside of that perticular listing, only normaly avalable to mear mortals on exchange of 24 hens teath if delivered by unicorn. There will be another on next month (or maybe this one again as no one wanted it for what was asked?).
