help ! fitting nearside sill

Post by mushroom »

Got my nice shiny outer sill from JK today, so rushed out to driveway to prep the bus. It's a LHD westy with LPG tank underneath.
Do I need to remove the tank to weld the new sill on ?
Also should I need to remove all the ZIG unit and associated cupboards ?
Thought it might all go up if I just left everything in situ

cheers

Yes you will need to strip the inside, and remove the insulation ,you might get away with leaving the tank, but its probably safer to remove it

these pictures give you some idea of what needs doing

side panel replacement

cheers I lost the link to that page a while back
I'm going to see how hard it is to remove the tank, otherwise I must just leave it in place
