LOOKING AT REPLACING MY PIERBURG TE3 CARB,ON MY 86 T25,DG ENGINE.WITH A WEBER,DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT MODEL NO SWITCH.ALSO IS IT A GOOD SWAP,WILL I SEE ANY IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY?

im assuming you mean a2E3, in which case the model you need is kit number 18890907.

im not sure you can still get them though.

make sure that you get all the bits and pieces if you buy a second hand one.

there is an adapter plate for the manifold and a block which raises the throttle linkage.

most of the other stuff is just pipes and stuff.

weve run one for years and had no real probs. we get about 25-27 mpg.

the main bonus is that there are no vacuum units to play up.

if you manage to get a second hand one and need a look at one then i can take pics, also i still have the instructions for ours.

I saw that model number as new on the web recently but cant find the site again--dorry- try all the uk links off google with carburettor webber in the search field.

The bad news is it was £300....
