Hi Guys
I need your help again. The old dometic fridge was dead and used to run on 230 or gas, so I've replaced with a 3 way this time.
There doesn't seem to be any electric via the leisure battery to the fridge. It works ok on 230 though. Don't want to plumb it up to gas at the moment, but want it to be capable of working from the leisure battery and whilst travelling.
Here are some photos of the current zig unit set up. Please could someone help me:

On the front of the zig unit there are spaces for two more fuses. Do I need to run a wire from somewhere to one of these?

you need to wire a seccond relay from the one you have behind the zig unit, this 2nd relay needs to trigger at the same time as the first, then connect your green wire from the van's battery to one side of the relay contacts, and the fridge to the other, this will then turn the fridge on whilst driveing!

Or just put in a 2 way diode block, get rid of the silly split charge relay thing, run the fridge from the input of the diode along with the alternator, the leisure circuit from one output of the diode block and the vans electrical system from the other side. That way youve got 2 completely independant electrical systems in the van that never meet but get charged by the same alternator. Thats how mine is set up. With the fridge running from the input of the diode, the alternator is the only thing that can power the fridge, so you wont kill either battery.
