Post by the14wheeler »

can any one tell me how to find a leak in my vacuum hose that runs from the manifold to the servo, i have been told that there is a leak and that this is affecting the engine, it pops and bangs on de acceleration and often stalls on tick over. i have got some new non return valves but that did`nt help.

Are we by any chance talking about a 2.0l CU air cooled engine? You have not given us any details about the engine & unfortunately my crystal ball is broken. :D

When I had my air cooled van one of the vacuum elbows sprung a leak & was replaced & then on the way to All Types 2006 the other elbow failed & the engine was popping, banging & stalling. I would check/replace both the vacuum elbows for starters. They are not expensive to buy. Have a look at the JK website. :D
