Looks like the box is finally going kaput!
The girlfriend uses the pride and joy for work everyday and I'm blaming her diver's boots for it going.
It's a 1.9 diesel with 5 speed box, circa '88.
Its had a temperamental second gear for about two years which jumps out every now and again. We've managed to live with it till now.
It now grinds in first gear as I release the clutch and then goes alright.
Where do I find the type number on the box?
I'm on limited budget so will probably have to risk a secondhand unit. Any decent breakers in the Southwest/Cornwall area?
Any help much appreciated folks!!
