Just failed MOT on sills

Post by mushroom »

Do I have to replace the whole sills ( inner and outer) of can I patch the old ones ?
On MOT sheet it just says rear part corroded
If so where can I get patches or do I have to make my own ?

Which bit is corroded?

I had an MOT failure on the sills as it was near where the seat belt bracket is

...But I got it welded for negligible money and it passed fine :D
One T25 in London, another one in Sydney.

I patched a couple of small holes on mine (right next to the rear jacking points - as long as the welds are continuous and it ends up solid and neatish it should be fine - mine was!
