HELP!!! Diesel 1.9 ADG engine help

Ok guys, maybe buying another camper that has a blown ADG 1.9 diesel engine and have a few questions....

1: Where does thiss engine come from, ie: what cars run it?
2: Are parts for the engine easy to get to rebuild?
3: Is there another equivilant to the engine that can be bolted straight on?
4: Does anybody know anything about these engines, if they blow, what usually goes?

Don't want to buy the van and be left with another bill for a complete new engine!!!

I've tried searching for parts etc on GSF and other places, but nothing seems to come up specificly for that engine code.

It's an industrial engine.
65hp 1.9 Diesel.

I would say that it's closest production engine was a 1Y or AEF, but AEF usually has a Lucas injection pump as opposed to the normal Bosch pump.

As simon says its basically indentical to an 1Y apart from fuel pump which there are loads of differences of.

Ok, so if i need parts to to rebuild i ask for parts for a 1Y 1.9 VW diesel engine?

What sort of motors does the 1Y come from?

Might be more worth my while getting an engine instead of rebuilding this one.
