any one with a blue bird custom r&r bed ??????

Post by jamesc76 »

i got a brand new blue bird customs rock and roll bed of ebay last week and was wondering do you have to build up the height of the base over the engine to make it all level, like the kit they sell at justkampers, im picking it up tommorow so just wanted to get a few ideas in my head before i start adapting things to make it all fit! Just added if any one could take some pics how it fits the instructions that came with it are for a bay!

After reading what ive put i best describe what im after, what it is i got a blue bird custom rock and roll bed frame the instructions that came with it are for a bay van so if anyone has a blue bird custom bed could they please take a few pics of how the bed bolts in cheers

James,
Yes you will need a rear platform, when I put one in ours I phoned and asked Bluebird and they said that one would be needed.

Jim, the 'platform' is about 4" above the engine lid ... I'll nip out and measure it on the box-less Bus though.

Right, on our's there's 1/2" carpeted ply and then a 4" platform, which i've divided into 3 sections ... the large one pulls out and has the engine lid below it. Then there's an 'L' shape with the front part full-width with a hinged lid and a section to the left-side where I keep even more tools and tat.

I'll show you at The Doook

Ian.
