the wire from the door switch is neg( and should be brown with a red stipe!)
you can connect it to the lighting loom that runs up the pillar behind the fusebox, there are two browns, one that is constant and the brown with a red stipe, get the right one!
Or you can go up the a pillar to the light, and connect there....
if you want it to work only the light above the door that is opening, make it the only connection on the pin on the light
