Correct Oil Filter? It's a different shape!

Post by pouch »

Hope someone will know the answer to this?

I am just changing the oil on my 2.0 Aircooled CU engine.
I removed the old VW oil filter, but it is much longer than the replacement I bought from GSF?

The replacement filter is a Mann W 920/17

I have offered it up and it does fit, but seems lighter than the old VW filter its also slightly wider and not as long.

Any ideas?

I don't know the part number off the top of my head but Mann filters are top quality. :D

Righo all sorted now.

It seems like the T25 experts I took it too last time put a later oil filter on the van. I now have the correct one on.

At least that's what GSF told me

It's a bit messy, gunna try to sort them into different categories to make it easier to find your bits.
