Brakes and starting

Post by Mark Davies »

Two quick questions:

1. Would you change the wheel bearings as a matter of course when replacing front brake disks?

2a. Can I buy the thinner red wire that goes from the spade terminal on the starter solenoid or do I have to make one up? 2b. once I have either made this up or bought one, where the hell does it go to? Can't seem to work it out and will need to know this if I have to make one up

Thanks in anticipation of the help,

I doubt that the bearing cups will come out in a serviceable condition anyway...and they are not that expensive
it makes the job a lot easier
get all the bits first!

I did it and they are fine, although if I new the situation before I had started I would have bought new bearings.

If he's lucky they come in the kit with a rear seal.
