Fitting Heki Wind Deflectors

Post by beetletype25 »

Just fitted Heki wind deflectors to the cab windows. The silver spring clips they came with are useless and don't fit in.I have just wedged the plastic deflectors in and adhered the tape. Will this be ok - has anyone any experience of fitting these?
Thanks - Tim.

in my experience they fall off when driving with the window open and deposit themselves on the carriageway. Climairs are a much better fit imho.

Bin the clips, and get some decent double-sided tape (3M do some good stuff, also Maplin) and re-stick it with that, will stay on no probs :)
Keep it real.

I used evostik adhesive for mine, cause they kept falling off with the double sided tape. Theyre not coming off now anyway! Did you get yours from bluebird?

I'm glad to hear that your JK wind deflectors fit properly, Rob. I bought a pair (unbranded) from JK & they were too long to fit the windows. I had to grind off about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch off each one to get them to fit. They then required two lots of heavy duty double sided tape to keep them in place.

Aerolift are the ones that Fritz recommended. He bought his from JK but when mine arrived they were unbranded. Just my luck. :(
