engine switch. sorted now
just wanted to know if anyone on here does engine conversions, currently has a 1.6d in, thinking along the lines of upgrading to a 1.9tdi. I can remove the existing engine and suply the new one.

Syncronutz in Shotts Scotland will do it for you. I's not cheap though. They tend to do the mechanical pump route and they cost a small fortune plus you'll need a new turbo, intercooler, engine mounts, upgraded injectors to match the pump and probably a bunch of other stuff. Give them a call.

if you search on here and brickyard IIRC the gearbox/gearing is unsuitable aswell, something to do with 'powerband' of tdi being sooooo different to td.fly by wire pump/miles of wiring etc etc
if you are competant enough to remove a td why not fit a 1.9td in its place ? im no mechanic and have done two swaps now in a T25/T3
