trailer hitch wiring

Post by lloyd »

Just mounted our trailer hitch and am wondering where to connect the wiring into vehicle harness. I can figure out the wire color code for van and recepticle pretty easily, but am not sure where to cut into wiring.

Thanks,

Lloyd

IIRC.. I ran mine into the "fuse box" on the firewall in the engine bay.. all the tail light wiring goes in there.. running the warning buzzer is a pain though (I didnt get round to it in the end)...

the warning buzzer is a right old pain! one way around it is a light in the dash (green of course) that flashes when it's got it's trailer on! the other is to not bother with it at all, because the van is older than when the rule about a warning thig came it won't really matter but the light is a good reminder that the trailer is there!
