Sump Plug question - its stuck!

Post by mattrsa »

Need to do an oil change on my van but the sump plug is so rounded off that I can't get anything on it to try untighten it.

Anybody got any ideas how I can get it out?

Somone has suggested, getting somone to weld a big bolt to it and then trying to undo it.

Would this work?

Regards
Matt

the welding method is what i was gonna suggest you dont need a massive bolt just a good weld the heat helps loosen the sump plug as well, do you have a new plug to go back in??
