I've been looking through my Holdsworth glossy brochures and i cant see the price of it - but needless to say it was optional extra that was deemed by most as a bit decadent!
I will bring the glossy to Cromer so you can have a look (have you got one?).

We picked this van because it matched everything we wanted in a camper.
I was brought up holidaying in a 1976 Holdsworth converted Bay panel van, so I knew they were good.
Must admit, the cupboard is a bit extravagant.
We just stick odds and sods in it and keep the wine in the fridge (unless we fancy a red that is).

It's got a VW motor, a 116.8 cubic inch plant, Michelin tyres, VW suspension, VW shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new RedSquirrel bus or what?
In its day the Holdsworth Villa range was £900 over the top of the range autosleepers and other vans on sale then.Mine cost £17000 back in 1990 and wasnt even loaded with extras. Some of the conversions they made were odd, the vision one has the kitchen at the back meaning you have to use the seats as part of the bed. I have the original instructions,if anyone wants them I will photocopy them.The drinks cabinet is indeed a rare option although it reduces the size of the back cupboard. I am looking into finding someone that can reproduce the decals ,mine lost them on a respray,also looking for new roof clips. Looking forwarto see your van.
Hmm - interesting Putney how you make a point on loosing space in the rear wardrobe with the drinks cabinet. I never thought of that.
Still, having thought of that, i would much prefer a drinks cabinet! The wardrobe is hardly used really. I have butchered the door in two so i can open the top half while i have stuff in the back (ie all the time) and i have put shelves in the wardrobe.
So, did anyone get the propex fitted as an optional extra ? At £345 quid i reckon that was a bargain for an option...

It's pretty much as it left Holdsworth.
Just a bit of seam rot round by the fridge. Nothing major though.
Still got it's original decals although they're fading due to the sun.
Curtains are fading too, but still nice and dark when closed.
I've modified the rear shelving slightly to add a three point belt on the wardrobe side.
We probably paid over the odds for it, but it was exacly what I wanted, when I wanted it and it's got full history and all MOTs and a load of receipts from new.

73000 miles.
I've rebuilt the engine (1900 DG) due to a sheared stud when trying to change the exhaust.
Replaced the clutch while the engine was out.
It sails through MOTs without any points.
T'is a grand vehicle.
Took us through Scotland on a 1350 mile trek this summer and didn't complain once.
I've seen a couple of pictures of the Vision, but couldn't work out where everything went. It makes a bit more sense now, but not sure I'm keen on it.

mine has drinks cabinet but no heater! It's an88' lowered 45mm on avos,17's,tinted windows,sa grille and reverted back to single round headlights with eyebrow spoiler,genuine vw rear blenders and black rear lights! The interior is as it left the factory exept for captains seats!
The one the passenger side was easy as ours was a converted microbus (or whatever they're called).
The one one the wardobe side was made using heavy guage metal, botled through the body behind the ears using the original seat belt point and another plate that I made up.
It's been through an MOT since without issue.
