Leaking Retractable Roof. Getting Soaked!Chorley, North Wes

Post by andy3809 »

Hi everyone

We bought our 1983 1.9 watercooled a few weeks ago and it has a problem with the retracable roof. The mechanism works 100% however it lets water in.

The problem is that the metalwork (both sides) is rusting and has several holes along it.

Not quite sure if I've made it clear but basically it requires the metal strips either side replacing. Does anyone know a good welder who'd be able to do this in the north west? Were located in Chorley if anybody can help

Thanks Guys
