Consequences of a seized fuel pump?

Post by geordie skydiver »

My T4 running on veg oil with no mods (I know, I know  ) seized its fuel pump this morning, on the first really cold day we've had.

The timing belt snapped, but I slammed the clutch down almost as it happened, as I 'felt' something wrong.

Is the engine scrap metal? Can I change the pump and will it be ok?

I was gonna fill up with diesel today too. :(

Siezed fuel pump? You'd be lucky. Are you sure it's not a siezed engine?

Positive.

Irrelevant now anyway, I weighed the van in, no time to repair.
