Van Security Locks

Post by Spiral »

Saw these on fleabay. click here Has anybody bought and fitted these locks to their T25/T3's? If so, I'd welcome any comments as they appear to be a very cheap alternative to deadlocks and I was thinking of fitting a set to my hi-top westy.

:o Whoops never realised how big these security locks were - 8.5" x 4.5"!!! Saw one on the back of a double door Ford transit today and realised how ugly they would look on a camper. After reading some of the posts here regarding stolen vans and just how easy it is to get the doors open, I'm desperate to step up the security on my westy. Looks as if I'm gonna have to shell out on deadlocks after all....... :(

i have seen a van with only one deadlock fitted to the drivers door and the rest of the doors fitted with window security locks (the ones that you put a star key and turn untill it stops!) that were opened and locked from the inside! could be cheaper alt!

Hey, now that sounds like a good idea :) Had a look in B&Q's and the window security locks you mention (star key type) look pretty easy to fit. Many thanks for your suggestion DiscoDave.
