I recently bought my first T25 (2.1 petrol engine) and seem to be loosing the contents of my expansion tank without any obvious or visible leaks. There is no loss from the main tank in the engine bay and the fan works fine but each time I check the expansion tank after a reasonably long run it is empty.
Would this have any effect on my oil pressure buzzer as this has now started to buzz or is this just a coincidence and a separate problem. I have read the threads on this and have a couple of oil pressure switches on order from my local VW dealer.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cooling system problem

DO NOT drive it...
If you have lost coolant from the system and have not correctly refilled and bled the system you have little coolant in there still... this will overheat the engine and thats prob what the oil buzzer is telling you...
PLease have a look in the "WIKI" at the top of the page and read up on it..
Where are you located?? (please fill out you prifile) Maybe there is a member/workshop that is familier with the T25 we can recomend..

I only drove the van a couple of miles with the buzzer going to get off the motorway (returning from Vanfest with wife 2 kids and dog onboard) and then got towed home by the RAC.
I have not used the van since this happened but when I did stop on Sunday the engine seemed hotter than usual although no steam.
I live in Lichfield in the West Midlands and would welcome any advice that I can get. Cheers Steve
