Hi
I have a 1980 van with a 1600 CT engine. There is a oil leak coming from two of the push rods. I have been looking at the "Adjustable and Spring-Loaded push rod tubes" on big boys toys web site, there are two types spring and adjustable which would be better? Will these be the right size for my van or do i have to go down the conventional route with the normal tubes.
Anyone know?
Thanks
Carl

Normal tubes my friend. I have the same engine and Big Boys Toys recommended I use the normal tubes. Even they dont think much of the other tubes, just used as an emergency standby really.
Bit more hasstle to fit the normal tubes but worth it in the end.
Ps. dont use any sealing compounds on the rubber seals when assembling the engine, it will only push out and leave gaps. Good excuse for oil to p**s out!
