Autobox Oil Cooler

Post by Dubstar »

Is it possible to retro-fit one to my 2ltr CU Aircooled? Towards the end of a long journey the change becomes really slugish and I'm asuming it's because the transmission fluid is quite warm! Or does the oil maybe just need a change?

A good point well put. Not been changed in the year I've had it, and it's not bright pink anymore, very slightly brown. Maybe a change is in order then. Then I'll think about a cooler!

Brown isnt good... mean there has been some heat in there..

From other forums, the auto box is tough and reliable.. and handles subaru power without problems.. and I think most Ottinger 6 had autobox too...

Should be well able to handle my 2ltr Aircooled CU then. Now where's that Porsche flat six........I wish.
Just going away to Anglesey for the weekend but when I get back I'll get the gaskets and then drop the oil. :D
