Hi guy's n girl's , I had a bit of a wiring burn out on my van just on the lesure side, So my question is on the fridge electrolux model No RM 184 egi i have 3 wire's black, blue, and red .I'm guesssing black n red are + & - but no idea on the blue. I did have a westy manual but missed laid it , It's with my brain somewhere. Any idea's

could possibly have an internal relay to turn on only when engine running, red and black as you said, blue ignition live, ie connect to blue wire from alternator so the fridge will only run on 12v whenthe engineis on! conect the red and black to the battery, then connecvt the blue to the +ve and see if it fires up!! if it does it's as i said!!

STOP . The wiring on the Westie is a little confusing, which side of the fridge socket is burnt?? If it is the vehicle side then be carefull, it's been sometime since I worked on a Westie fridge but it took me a while to sort out which colours did what. Check the cables to see if you have a feed + or - before connecting to the fridge (otherwise you may have a bigger fire)

Thank's guy's there is a relay on the top of the fridge and it has a fan at the back. The wire burn out was due to the tap switch. Any more help most welcome

I'll have a look this evening,if I can find a blue wire I'll let you know where it goes
