Loud clicking noise

Post by devondub »

Just got back from 900 mile round trip and the van has developed a loud clicking noise from the o/s/r wheel when braking. Have had wheel and drum off and checked everything, can see nothing wrong. Could it be a driveshaft? Any ideas guys?

Sounds like the CV joint. Get underneath and grab hold of the driveshaft, and try to twist it, there shouldn`t be hardly anything when twisting it. If unsure then it`s not a big job to unbolt the driveshaft (clean out the allen-key heads first so they don`t get chewed up). New CV joint kits available from all the usual places, GSF, JK etc etc
Keep it real.
