just for the record... completed a 700 mile trip to france and back in my 1.6td with a 7k recon vege engine and returned 32mpg. didnt go faster than 65mph and there were 5 adults on board, the front seat passanger weighing in at 22stone .
That said, with his 22 stone on one front wheel and my 14st on the other the van handled like a dream in the cross winds !!!, lol
