Oil light not staying on.

Post by simoncummins »

You may think this is good but as i turn the key to position 2 before starting the oil light just comes on for about one second and then goes out before the engine is turned over. I am don't think this is correct anyone know what the problem could be. The engine is a new 1.6 td. Thanks Simon C.

Try cleaning up the big wiring connector on the back of the clocks circuit board. After that, you need to be tracing the wiring from the pressure switch on the motor back through to the dash, also the circuit board and associated buzzer of doom stuff can affect it (read can-of-worms)
Keep it real.

Which switch? Do you mean the pressure switch?

Have a search for buzzer of doom, it`s been discussed loads of times.
