outer sills/ mot?

whats the story with holes in cills please as my mot is coming up and theres a small hole in mine. its nowhere near the chassis cross members or jack points and the inner cills are solid. is it anything to worry about?

hide it, then it wont be a worry if they dont see it...... do it now, then it will be the same muddy colour by the mot

Mine was a little hole.......When I finished poking around it was a new side not just a sill........As stated get it covered now for MOT...but have a damn good look later :cry:

if the corrosion is within 30cm of any suspension mounting or brake/steering component mounting then it is a fail. if out side this area then unless it is going to affect the steering or braking system in any way then it is not a fail but this side is down to the tester descrection. Best course of action is to get it welded up properly. You have no worries then.

thanks for that,, that's what i was hoping so it shouldn't be a fail.
i'll get some new sills this winter but i want to get it tested before next month.

As Simon said, fill it,paint it and just forget to wash the Great British Summer off yer Bus before the test. You'll never match the paint any road 'cos it's white. :lol:
