On the selecter lever at the back of the van under the gearbox there is a spring pin of 32mm in length
Does anyone know how to get this out as I have a new one to fit along with the bush to try and stop changing the radio channel over evey time I go to second
Cheers

I had the same prob. Get underneath and run along the selector rod until you find an expansion joint, undo the clamp around it and slide it out no more ethan 1/8 inch. This in effect lengthens the selector rod and pivots the gear knob back away from the dash. If you move it too far though you may have trouble getting reverse as i did so its a balance!!

I renewed all the bushes and joints as my gear change was awful too. With the long selector rod REMOVED from the van I had someone support it with a block of wood underneath the roll-pin hole. On mine it was apparent which way it had been inserted so make sure you remove it the oppositeway it went in! I then used a stubby parallel drift to tap it through and out of the rod. It really wasn't too bad but would be incredibly tricky on van as the rod has to be supported on something rock solid.
