Coolant Level Switch

Post by Turbokomet »

Hi All,

I have investigated a coolant leak and have found that the the coolant level switch has snapped and been bodged back in by a previous owner with some kind of mastic. Once the system was up to pressure a steady drip drip could be seen.

I have removed the offending part and would like to know if the GSF replacement is OK or do I need to try and find the genuine VW part?

Thanks

Sounds like a all too familiar story, please look at the recent threads including

despite my new coolant tank, with cap and new thermostat (all bought from Just Kampers ), I still have the same issue

Van is now at the garage......I await the post mortem and bill!

I purchased a coolant tank and level sensor from JK, arrived next day, works perfectly.
