2l cu into 16 ct ?

hi all,just picked our 2l engine and box up off the geordie skydiver(top man,cheers lee),just wondered what we should be doing to it before we fitted it?,dont really want to put it in,then have to take it out again because of an oil leak,or a noisey bottom end,would much rather make sure it was as good as poss' before its installed,any pointers?,also,while its out what can i do to improve the horses?,without going daft moneywise?,and(sorry about all the and's')how easy(or hard)is the swap?,thanks dave,and many thanks in advance as we will prob' have a lot,lot more questions,cheers nicola and dave
