T25 2.0 CU and 1.9 Engine

Post by gizmo »

I have seen a number of adverts for a "T25 2.0 CU AIR COOLED ENGINE".

Is this the same as a "1.9 Aircooled Petrol Engine".

I am currently looking for a good replacement engine for my 1980/91 1.9 litre Aircooled engine. Westfalia Joker.

From looking at Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/T25-TYPE-4-AIR-CO ... dZViewItem

The engine "looks" the same.

Advice needed please

thanks

Miles.

As Rob says if the advertised engine is a 2.0l CU Air Cooled engine then that is the one you want. :)

Remember:-

2.0l CU air cooled engine (1970cc)

1.9l water cooled engine (1915cc)

Your A/C engine is classed as a 2 litre (not 1.9 litre). :)

The diz looks like it may be a single vac not the standard dual vac - might be worth asking...
And there's no electronic ignition module on the engine bay side wall - it might be an older points version dizzie.

or keep the points as they're pennies to buy and simple to repair.
