2.1 dj cutting out!
I have just change engine on my van. it's a 2.1 dj auto. I started the van first time and it idled for about 20mins while I was bleeding the coolant system. Then it cut out and now starts every time but only runs for about 1 second and cuts out. I can hear the fuel pump prime up but think that it is not getting any fuel once started. Any ideas before I can check it out properley tomorrow. Cheers.

Fuel filter changed?
How does it cut out... runs lean or runs rich?

Try checking the fuel feed pipe outlet flow rate into a container... take care, alwasy have a fire extinguisher handy with T25's ! Very handy with DJ's and DG's..
Might be worth checking the T2 temp sensor on the thermostat and its connections.

Had a problem like this a while back. Engine would just fire and then die, could also hear the fuel pump. Turned out the multipin plug on the air filter box was loose. I think this is connected to the oxygen sensor.
Check the wiring to the plug and possibly the sensor too.
Good luck!
Was an annoying fault to trace but at least it was an easy fix!
