As the title says, for some reason the engine will turnover but wont fire, possible problem one of the following, or could it be something else:
Distributor
HT leads
Spark plugs?
Fuel Pump?? (there is fuel in the tank)
Insuffiecent battery power (currently on charge)
recently cleaned all earths on Van, due to previously problem hence new starter motor fitted at weekend as the old one had given up.
We have had a lot of rain here in yorkshire over the past week, and I did notice water in the engine bay - could it be just damp???
Any other ideas/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Shaun

Van now sorted
After the orginal problem with the starter. Would appear that I also had a partial blockage in the fuel line. Fixed this and it still would not start. replaced all HT leads and plugs tonight and even though shes been stood for 1½ weeks she fired up with the first turn of the key
.
Aircooled don't you just love em (well more of a love/hate relationship at the moment)
Anyway thanks for the replies......whats the next problem gonna be?
Cheers
