yo folks im getting ready to have a go at welding up the rust round the windows on her van,i can probably get the windows out easily but where can i buy the tool for refitting the filler bead????????????

I made one from a bit of thick wire. All you need to do really is bend it to a dimond shape so that it spreads the rubber and the bead can then pass through the diamond. Easy enough really.

which window rubbers did you go for in the end, mate? vw, status, N.E.R.?

eyup wasserleaker,ar avent had any yet,but "Willoughby" was sending off a sample to n.e.r for conformation,ive just pm'd him to see if hes had any luck,so if i hear out i will let you know owduck!!!!!!!!!!.....regards.........oldiguana

Made one out of coathanger wire but ended up using a well rounded screwdriver
1985 1900DG wc liesuredrive hitop with small amounts of rust
