MUDSTOCK - THE UK international VW offroad event 28/29 July

Post by team-x »

Mudstock is a back to basics event, designed to cater for Offroaders of all types, primarily aimed at Buggies, Bajas and Rails of VW base. It will also appeal to owners of other offroad capable vehicles including Syncros, Iltis, Trekker, Blitz, Rage and Rhino buggies. 4X4 owners can also come to the event as we are loooking for all forms of offroad fun, whether it be racing or entertaining yourself on the offroad trials tracks and many slopes and challenges on site.

However, it will not be a case of just getting dirty, there will be a concours competion and road treasure hunt for those who like it low and shiny. A friendly atmosphere, music and free camping including toilets and basic wash facilities, there is also a clubhouse with food outlet serving good cheap food on site and drinks.

Entry for all is just £20 per person ( under 16 £10 ) for the WHOLE weekend from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. We are not looking to make a massive profit out of you, we are looking to cover the costs and all have a good time.

Have a look at the pix on www.team-x.co.uk and contact us at event@team-x.co.uk to book tickets....

Any questions can also be sent to the same address.

See you soon, Team-X

Whats stopping you from coming to the 1st Annual UK International Buggy and offroad VW Show?

I hope you don't think we're all party poopers Mr (or Mrs) Team-x

I do hope some (or at least one) of our Syncro owners will book it, then we can get some independent feedback... not that i doubt it will be a cracking fun event. The food arrangements sound particularly sound enticing, yum, yum!

Thing is, we have a fair number of events in our calendar already, counting local get together's, about one a month from Spring to Autumn. Then there's shows that some like to attend.

Then there's few if any genuine Syncro platform buggies around... though there might be one or two on the drawing board, at least gelling in the grey matter somewhere...

It might also be a matter of Syncros being maintained a lot of the time, for obvious reasons, as though a lot have been restored and rebuilt in the last few years, they're becoming a bit more precious and somewhat harder to find all the spares for, new or second hand, certainly at the right price.

But I do hope some turn up; if Andy Simpson does, you'll find his a very interesting vehicle 8)

Good luck with the event, there's a small chance we might come, but we have one in Devon the week after, which is a firm commitment.

Hi Harry, thank-you very much for your posting. Of course I quite understand about your and others commitments to other events. I have the same thing with my racing.

In the same vein I also understand about not wanting to break your toy just before another event - so no problems there!

It would be nice to see someone to represent your club there and myabe entice you in to coming next year as a club.

Thanks again an I hope you have a muddy good year!

Pat.
